What to know about maintaining your Wind Module for reliable long-term performance.
The maintenance requirements for Clarity Wind Modules are minimal due to their lack of moving parts. Following optional routine maintenance can help prevent measurement failure, but it’s not required:
- Dust removal: If dust accumulates on the device, gently wipe it with a soft cloth. Do not use any cleaning solutions, and be careful not to scratch the surface of the instrument.
- Ice or snow removal: If ice or snow builds up on the device, allow it to melt naturally. Do not use tools to forcibly remove it, as this could damage the unit.
- Removal of debris: if debris accumulates under the Wind Module’s “roof” between the 4 ultrasonic transducers “knobs”, this might affect the wind measurements. Gently remove the debris to restore the correct functioning of the device.
These simple maintenance steps help ensure the Wind Module continues to function properly without risking damage to the sensitive equipment.
