The Clarity Node-S will turn on if either the solar panel cable or the charging cable is plugged into the device body.
The Clarity Node will turn if the charging cable is plugged into the device body and also plugged into an external power source.
You should hear an initial beep when connecting the cable to the device. The device will then attempt to connect to the cellular network.
The Node-S device will turn on even if the charging cable isn't plugged into an external power source and there is sufficient battery. Therefore, devices in the ON state will drain the battery. When storing Node-S devices, please unplug the solar cable or the power cable if not charging.
